Welcome to the Copa Beach SoccerTournament

       A substantial portion of the proceeds raised from the Copa Beach Tournament will benefit C.H.A.S.E. for Life. (CPR-Heimlich-Awareness-Safety-Education) A nationally recognized tax-exempt nonprofit dedicated to making the education of Infant/Child CPR and Choking Maneuvers free and readily available to the nation. Please join us for the 1st Annual Copa Beach Soccer Tournament held on the historic beaches
of Asbury Park, NJ. Centrally located on the Jersey Shore, this years tournament will be held on Saturday Sept 6th, 2008. This is the Saturday after Labor Day. A total of 144 teams ages u9 through u13 boys and girls will be accepted to this truly unique tournament.

Some highlights of this years beach tournament :
1. All tournament participates receive a tournament T-Shirt
2. 1st place prize per division:Tournament Hat, Beach Towel / automatic acceptance to next tournament.
3. 2nd place prize per division: Tournament Hat, Beach Towel
4. 3rd place prize per division : Gift certificates by IGLOO Italian Ices , Tournament Hat
5. All proceeds from tournament to be donated to specific schools, clubs and charities.
6. Specialty shops and restaurants on the new boardwalk for kids and parents.
7. Plenty of free parking.
8. Free concert by THE SCHOOL OF ROCK

and fill out the easy online registration form. Accepted teams will be notified by email.

PLEASE NOTE: 1. A team can consist of any 10 players as long as they are age apporiate.
                       2. Travel passes are not needed in order to play.

Tournament Information:

Modified FIFA beach rules will be used. Teams will consist of 5 players, 4 plus keeper, maximum 10 players per team. Substitutions will occur on the fly. Fields are 25 yards by 35 yards. Professional beach nylon webbing staked at the 4 corners with cones will designate the fields. Each team will play 3 games consisting of 3 -10 minute periods( rain or shine). A 4th and possible 5th games for teams advancing to the finals.

No shoes allowed. Players are to play in their barefeet. Players are permitted to wear the following items: beach socks, tape and neoprene type ankle and knee braces. No hard reinforcements are allowed.

( ex. If your team is currently a u8, they would be a u9 for the tournament )

u09-must be born after august 1st 1999
u10-must be born after august 1st 1998
u11-must be born after august 1st 1997
u12-must be born after august 1st 1996
u13-must be born after august 1st 1995

Tournament Fee:
1. $350 per team
2. Payment in full before acceptance
3. Paypal and checks accepted

5- 10 Copa Beach in conjunction with Training 4 Soccer is pleased to announce that all teams that enter the tournament will be invited to participate in a free clinic to introduce them to the sport of beach soccer. Teams will be scheduled together so games can be played. For more information please email info@copabeach.net

5-2 Kids- Move A fitness company that provides kids fitness classes, will partner with Copa beach on the day of the tournament to provide free fitness classe, demos, etc for the kids all day during the tourney. They just hosted their first event at Pier Village on the Long Branch boardwalk and had a great obstacle course set up for kids ages 3-6,We think their mission and ours would be a perfect fit!! 4-25 No Comply Surf Camps has agreed to run free surf clinics for kids and adults the day of the beach tournament. More information will be posted as the tournament draws closer.

  3/12   Copa Beach Soccer Tournament will be the feature article in the "Community Reporter " section of the Asbury Park Press. The article will be in the press on Thursday March 13. The article will highlight the tournament , its' organizers and sponsors.

3/5....... Copa Beach and The School of Rock have agreed to put on an outdoor concert during the tournament. The play list is still yet to be determined but having been to many of their prior concerts, a good time will definitely be on the agenda. 2/20 Copa Beach tournament, along with 18 other beach tournaments will be advertised in the fabled soccer traders Eurosport. Soccadelic , supplier of our beach ball has struck an agreement with Eurosport to send an advertisement flyer to over 800,000 of their customers in April.
